A beautiful view of the Karavanke Mountains and the mountains above Vrata and Krma opens up from the top. From the main road, the road leading to Mojstrana (Vrata, Kot and Krma) turns off to the left. Follow the road in the direction of the village of Radovna and the Krma and Kot valleys. Park to the right side of the road (notice the trail markings for Jerebikovec and Mežakla on the opposite side of the car park). You can also hike up Jerebikovec in winter, when winter equipment is mandatory.
Cross the road from the car park and walk to the mountain signposts where the trail to Jerebikovec begins. The trail leads into the forest from the outset and climbs steeply straight up the slope. Along this valley, it leads to one of the side ridges of the mountain, where there is a bench that provides a well-deserved rest, overlooking Kepa.
Continue to the right, along the ridge at first, and then the path switches to steep slopes to climb. After a hike of an hour and a half, the slope sud- denly flattens out and the path brings you to the second bench by the memorial to the fallen Mežakla partisans. The trail turns right here and crosses the edge of the deserted Mežakla mountain almost horizontally. Just a little further on, you will reach the road near Tilčev rovt. Follow this road for 5 minutes until the signpost points right and up the slopes of Jerebikovec. The path takes a steep climb again and leads us to a small ridge, and from there to the peak.
