From the top, you can enjoy a beautiful view of the highest peaks of the Julian Alps, the western and central Karavanke Mountains, Austria and most of the Upper Sava Valley.
In the village of Dovje, park your car in the car park under the Church of St Michael at the end of the village. Walk through the village, and at the end of the village, follow the signs at the crossroads to the left through the new settlement in the direction of Mlince. Follow the markings for Dovška Baba. Follow this road for another 100 m, then take the bridge over the Mlinca stream, after which you will see the mountain signposts for Dovška Baba to your left. After a few minutes’ climb, you will exit the forest into a larger clearing, where you will follow a dirt track. Continue your ascent past a small lodge (holiday cottage). The trail will soon pass into a dense forest, where it continues, with a few small lookout clearings, all the way to the Goreljš pasture. The ascent continues through a lovely forest past the Bela peč scree. Ascend in a gentle climb through picturesque countryside. Follow the marked trail to the left (going straight would take you to the source of the Starka spring, 1 minute away), which again climbs steeply and leads to the lower edge of the Dovška Rožca pasture.
From here, continue straight up the mountain to the northeast along a clearly visible path that begins to climb up the increasingly scenic slopes of Dovška Baba. Here a view of the not-so-compact peak of Dovška Baba opens up in front of you, which you reach after a walk of less than 5 minutes.
