In the photo of the Wall the outlined routes show peculiar signs of the climbers and their time. Anyone who tries to follow these virtual lines in the wall and concentrates on finding passages and individual grips and stops sooner or later also meets the people and the time in which the routes were created.
Almost three kilometers wide and one kilometer high, the limestone Wall is extremely rugged. It has over 100 climbing routes of all levels of difficulty. Countless shelves, pillars and ravines are scattered throughout the relief, which reveals its complexity only to those who enter it. The visitors gave names to the characteristic areas of the Wall and in doing so breathed something human into the otherwise useless rocks. Enthronement, Pulpit, Nave, Amphitheater, Sphinx, Gorenjski Turnc, Skalaški Turnc, Jugov Steber, etc.
Severna stena Triglava – alpinistični vodnik (Miha Valič, Marko Prezelj, Janez Skok; Sidarta, 2011) in Slovenske stene – izbor najlepših plezalnih vzponov (Tine Mihelič, Rudi Zaman; Didakta, 1987). Climbing routes are described in several guides:
