The Mlačca gorge is an excellent position for both beginners and those who have already climbed on ice. The gorge is located in Mojstrana and stands at the foot of Mežakla plateau. It is about 200 m long and up to 45 m high. You can choose between easier and more difficult artificially frozen waterfalls or directions that arise, so you are sure to be satisfied. Mlačca is a real ice climbing kindergarten.
The waterfalls are located at the foot of the Cmir wall. The first two can be reached from the large car park outside Aljažev dom. From the car park, turn left across the stream bed and up towards the ice strips, visible from a distance.
