Here the longer but easiest approach to Mount Triglav begins. The peaks of the Pokljuka rim drop steeply into it on the south side, among them Debela peč and Viševnik, with Vernar and Rjavina also looming above. Krma is a dry valley, although during rainfall you can see the Krmarica torrential stream, which feeds the Radovna River. The latter flows to the surface much further down, in Zgornja Radovna. Krma can be reached from the mountain side via the Radovna Valley or from Mojstrana.
The two paths meet in the hamlet of Zgornja Radovna and merge into one. The path begins to ascend through mountain meadows to the Kovinarska koča lodge and Zasipska planina, and from there it’s just uphill into the incline and up some more.
