It can be reached on foot by first following foot path 16 from Mojstrana towards Peričnik along the right bank of the Bistrica River. At the last little bridge, Mojstrana closes with the Fabrka area across the river, while we stay on the right bank, leave the footpath and ascend into the forest. The Mlačca gorge opens just behind the tennis courts.

It features a high wall encased in thick ice and a splendour of ice images, which, among other events, are organised by the Ice Climbing Club.
