The narrow valley lies in the Triglav National Park between the slopes of Mežakla and Pokljuka, and is covered with undulating meadows. The uneven shape characteristic of the valley is the result of the deposition of glacial ground moraine. Due to levelling and land cultivation, this feature is, unfortunately, slowly disappearing.
A road runs through the valley, connecting Zgornja Radovna to Mojstrana and Bled. There is also a cycle path along the valley, equipped with information boards informing visitors about the cultural heritage. This route is very popular among cyclists because of its beautiful and unspoilt nature.
